Cooking with David

David and I used to fix Chinese dishes....a lot! We haven't done that in quite a while. David decided he wanted to fix one of our favorite dishes...Hoisin Chicken. As you can see from the photo, the recipe has been used enough times that we have left our marks on the page.

David was banging away in the kitchen and muttering curses and yelling at me about whether or not he should marinate the chicken, how should the chicken be cut up, yadda yadda yadda!! What he was really saying was "GET OUT HERE AND HELP".

So, I cut up the chicken, chopped the onion, grated the ginger, chopped green pepper (until he complained about the size). Now we just need to wait until the chicken is finished marinating. I wonder if I will get by with just fixing the rice!! It's going to be good eating tonight!

Welcome to the World Eliana (Ella)

Please welcome my grand-daughter, Ella, to the world. She was born February 4, 2009. I am so happy she is here and she is going to be so loved by her parents; they have been waiting for her for quite some time. I wish I would have had the opportunity to post birth photos of my two other grand-children, MaKensi and Cade, but I didn't have a blog when they were born. I will post photos of them when they come to visit in March.

So, welcome sweet Ella. Your Nana and PaPa love you!

Starting My Blog Journey

David has been bugging me to start a blog, so this is my first post.
The hardest thing is starting. What do you say? I've never kept a
journal or diary and don't really know how to talk to myself, but I
will keep at it and maybe my posts will get better.

Today is our 25th Wedding Anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, DAVID!! I love you very much!!!
